German Awards - World War II

World War II was humanity's greatest and most fateful war. The war has killed an estimated 60 million people worldwide.
The main scenes of this war were, on the one hand, in Europe, where Germany started the war, and, on the other hand, in Asia, where Japan waged war against China, and later against the United States.
The war began on September 1, 1939 with the German attack on Poland and ended with the surrender of Germany on the night of May 8-9, 1945.
A feature of this war was an ideological and racist attitude towards the population in the occupied territories.
The stated goal of the National Socialists, the extermination of Jews and other inferior lives, led to numerous war crimes and systematically organized attacks on civilians and prisoners.
A new quality of warfare was the US use of nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After the end of the war, the victorious powers - the Soviet Union, France, England and the United States - decided on far-reaching changes, which led, in particular, to the reorganization of Europe and the division of Germany.

Descriptions and images of orders serve only civic education and reflect anti-constitutional and anti-constitutional aspirations, scientific and art studies according to § 86 and 86a.
Illustrations do not contain unconstitutional symbols. They become covered and thus unrecognizable. Nazi content formulations are only used in the context of order descriptions if they are an integral part of the order or omission interferes with the description.
