After World War I, numerous military alliances were created that established their own honorary crosses. The non-front-line league is a novelty of this period. These were probably German participants in the war who united because they could not be accepted into conventional military alliances, but nevertheless wanted their contribution to the war to be appreciated. I could not find out more detailed information. This association established this cross in external recognition of its members. It can be assumed that this award is quite rare compared to well-known warrior clubs.
Cross made of bronze with straight cross-shaped sleeves. The ends of the crosses are rectangular. Between the cruciform sleeves at a distance from each other is a surrounding laurel wreath at the level of the rectangular ends of the cruciform sleeves. In the center in front is an embossed central shield. On the upper cruciform shoulder is a semicircular depressed ear. The back panel is smooth with the manufacturer's designation.
