This honorary cross was established in one class after the founding of the Field Artillery Weapons Ring in 1920. As 1. The chairman was Lieutenant General Fritz Jurst. Oskar von Watter, also a field artillery general, was one of the founders and leader of the field artillery weapons ring. Between 1890 and 1914 the field artillery was expanded from 37 regiments with 434 batteries to 100 regiments with 633 batteries. I do not know anything about the conditions for awarding the cross. The first Field Artillery Armament Day took place on October 6-7, 1928 in Berlin.
I will be very grateful for the information about the ring of weapons and the award.
Gilded non-ferrous metal cross in Maltese form. Between the cross sleeves at a distance is a stylized oak-leafy wreath with an inscription. Between the tips of the upper cruciform shoulder is a flaming projectile. On the flame is a captured parallel standing eye.
