The 1st Baden Volunteer Battalion was formed on 13 January 1919 from the remnants of the demobilised 2nd Baden Grenadier Regiment "Kaiser Wilhelm I." No. 110 in Heidelberg. The sleeve insignia presented here was worn by former members of the 2nd Baden Grenadier Regiment, this formation. After the "Spartacus uprising" in February 1919, the imperial government, as well as the Baden people's government, organized the creation of other volunteer associations. I do not know anything specific about freikor operations. Most likely, they will no longer be in the eastern regions. I would really appreciate more information.
This happened with the formation of the Provisional Reichswehr in June 1919 in the 2nd century. Battalion of the 1st Baden Infantry Regiment of the Reichswehr, later the 27th Rifle Regiment of the Reichswehr.
Openwork working and hollow embossed sleeve mark made of silver-plated non-ferrous metal in the form of a standing rhombus. Each of the 4 corners has a small opening for sewing to the sleeve.
