German Awards - 1st Degree Landwehr Award. That is sick
This award was established by King Ludwig II. January 21, 1876. This award was received by officers and medical instructors who, on vacation, voluntarily took on 20 years of service in the army and landver and showed a keen interest in the service. Prince Regent Luitpold decreed on 17 September 1906 that the highest military officials in officer rank could also receive the 1st Class Landwehr award.
An eight-pointed cross made of Maltese silver. The cruciform shoulders are polished and have a small raised edge. Front and back with a round central shield (16 mm) worn. Between the tips of the upper cruciform shoulder, the usual eye with a ribbon ring is soldered.
