German Awards - 2nd Class Landwehr Award
The Landwehr Award was established along with new awards for non-commissioned officers on July 25, 1913 by the Grand Duke Adolf Frederick V. The latter replaced the service award established on February 9, 1875. The conditions for awarding the prize remained the same. It was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers who performed their duty in reserve and landver and participated in the campaign. Also awarded were military personnel who, in exceptional cases, were called up for active service for at least 3 months.
