Order of Landwehr 1st degree. The class was established on July 4, 1868 by King William I. King Frederick William IV. The 1st class could only be received by officers and doctors with an officer rank who remained in military service for at least 8 years in excess of the prescribed total service life and were distinguished by great interest in service.
Impeccable and unpunished performance of official duties was also a prerequisite. A total service life of 12 years and 8 years gives 20 years, which can be found on the back of -XX-. Initially, the total service life was 17 years, so the officers had to work 25 years. Voluntary one-year experience was counted as 3 years. Lists of proposals were to be submitted to the king by the War Office. The document was also issued by the War Office. The previously received 2nd grade had to be passed. In the event of the death of the awardee, the award was subject to return. The medallions were made of gold. Late figures also have gilt bronze medallions.
Silver cross with polished cross edges. The insides are finely indented. Round gold medallions are placed in the center. On the upper cruciform shoulder is a round soldered eye with a bandage ring.
