This jubilee medal was established on October 24, 1909 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the appointment of Prince Regent Luitpold as Knight of the 1st Artillery Regiment. Members of the Military House, Knights of the Military Order of Max Joseph, officers and non-commissioned officers, weapons masters, warrant officers, as well as reserve and sanitary officers of the 1st Field Artillery Regiment were borrowed (As of November 1, 1909) Further, this medal was awarded to all officers, medical instructors, senior military ranks, be they active, on vacation or retired, who served in the unit, as well as former non-commissioned officers and soldiers who participated in the campaign with the regiment or honorably retired with permission to wear uniforms. Individuals who already held the 1905 Jubilee Medal received a new medal with a crown for the already award. The manufacturer was Jacob Cheater of Straubing.
Gilded brass oval medal. From above along the edge flying tape to the right and left. In the center in the shape of a triangle, in which an openwork, movable crown is suspended. A ribbon ring passes through the imperial crown apple.
