Germany awards - Badges of honour for firefighters after 25 years of service
To honor the merits of members of voluntary fire brigades, King Ludwig II established. June 24, 1884 this badge of honor. It was awarded to members of the volunteer fire department after 25 years of loyal and zealous service. This buckle was awarded until November 1918, and in 1920 was replaced by the oval medals of the Free State.
Rectangular, cut-through gold-plated bronze buckle. The outer edges are raised and beveled. Inside is a rectangle with folded quadrangles at the corners and an even raised edge.. A point rises in each square. The background is shaded perpendicular. This is attached to the plate associated with the tape. At the back is a horizontal pin.
Front side:
In the - center is a figured crowned Bavarian coat of arms. Oak foliage flanked on the right,
- left bay leaf. Including a fire helmet. To the left and right of it:
- a fire axe and a sloping ladder.
In the - center behind the coat of arms is a finely carved line of writing with raised edges.
- It has an elevated font on the left: - XXV - jar. - right: - seniority -
