The comture cross of the 1st form presented here with a portrait of the Saxon Ernestine Elector Johann the Constant was awarded only from 1851 to 1875. The order crosses of Komtur and the Grand Cross were the same size. Distinction is possible only by the corresponding thoracic stars of either the large cross with an 8-ray star, or comture 1. 4-beam star class. Commander crosses were also worn in the form of neck orders and large crosses on the sash. In 1876, the mistake in the medallion was corrected and replaced with the correct image.
Royal Saxon Order of Albrecht, 1848 after the revolution of 1849 and the Dresden May Uprising on December 31, 1850 by King Frederick Augustus II. in gratitude for the loyal and true patriots of the monarchy. Projects for the order came from G. A. Scharffenberg, who gained an advantage over the projects of I. F. Schroth. The reason for the creation of the fund was the 350th anniversary. Anniversary of the death of the progenitor of the Albertine line, Albrecht, the owner of the Vettin house. The order consisted of the following classes: Grand Cross, Komtur 1st and 2nd. Class, knights and small crosses (since 1858 an honorary cross). The award took place by decree signed by the king. The order was subject to return in case of promotion or death of the awarded. On March 26, 1861, Albrecht's gold and silver medal was added to the order. The foundation of swords occurred in 1866. Other extensions included dividing the Knights into the 1st and 2nd. class 1876, 1883 star to the Grand Cross in Gold, the base of the Officers' Cross 1890 and the Golden Crown to the Knight's Cross 1st Class to name the most important extensions.
Crosses of the order were awarded as a komture or grand cross about 1000 times.
Elongated, hollow cross made of gold with white enameled, gold-edged cross sleeves. Front and rear with a superimposed round medallion. Between the cruciform sleeves at a short distance is a green enameled oak-deciduous wreath with red enameled acorns. On the upper cruciform shoulder, a golden crown is movably connected. In the imperial apple of the crown, a tightly connected eye with an elongated double ribbon ring.
