The Angolan Union of Warriors was founded in 1883, since 1921 it was called the Angolan Union of Land Warriors (ALKV) and established merit crosses in 3 stages. The special tier was a gilded and enameled neck cross with an inscription at the back and larger than the silver-plated 2nd class by about 1 mm. 1st class was a stuffed cross without an inscription at the back. Shown here 2. The class was silver-plated with a back inscription and worn on a ribbon. The 1st Class Anhalt Warrior Union Meritorious Service Cross was awarded for distinguished service to the Warrior Union. As a manufacturer, the court engraver Alexander Vollram from Dessau is known. The address of the metalwork factory was Wallstr. 13/14 in Dessau. The Anhalt Land Warriors Union, as a member of the Kiefhauser Union, had 164 clubs with 12,517 members.
Due to the size of the country, such crosses are very rare.
Silver-plated non-ferrous metal cross. Cruciform shoulders with a wide smooth silver-plated border. The inside of the front side is enameled with light yellow. Silver-plated rays come out between the cruciform shoulders (5 each). Front and rear with a large round central shield. On the upper cruciform shoulder is a transverse decorated ear with a small ring and a belt ring.
