Germany Awards - Hanover Land Warriors Union Commemorative Military Coin
This military commemorative coin was donated around 1920 by the Hanover Warrior Union. Like many other warrior unions, the union of warriors in Hanover wanted to create a badge of honor for its members who were doing their duty during the World War. After the 1st World War, there was no state award in memory of the war. However, many former soldiers wanted a commemorative and honorific badge as the exterior badge of their service. This was usually issued after verification of military documents by the Union of Warriors, but was paid privately .
