The Prussian Military Union established the Cross of Honor for its members on August 16, 1921 in 2 classes. The award was to be submitted by separate unions of warriors to the land board.
1st class was awarded for (especially) outstanding services to the Union of Warriors of the Prussian Union of Lands and Warriors. The cross was worn as a neck. The previous possession of the honorary cross of the 2nd class was a prerequisite for the award of the 1st class. Simultaneous awarding of both classes was not provided. Both classes continued to be worn together. The reason for the award may be a special individual act or many years of faithful duties in PLKV. For the 2nd class, this period was at least 10 years, and for the class shown here - 1 5 years (15 years in total). The exception is persons over 70 years old. The ratio for grade 2 was set at 10% of members. A prerequisite for this was the possession of a 2nd class cross. With few exceptions, 1st and 2nd grades were awarded jointly. On August 1, 1925, the new enameled plug cross became known as the 1st. The class is assigned. This cross should be more pleasant and representative. The gilded cross depicted here could be exchanged for a new one. The difference amount is 6, - RM had to be paid by the carrier. There was no obligation to exchange.
Bronze gilded cross with slightly curved cross ends. Front and back sides with a round medallion. Between the crosses are segments with letters. An eye with an (elongated) waist ring is attached to the upper cross. On the ear is the inscription of the manufacturer H.Timm Berlin.
