The German front-line union, like many other military unions, was founded after the First World War. The main territory of the confederation was Bavarian territory. The German front-line union belonged to the conservative and right-wing warrior unions of the time. In June 1928 there was a merger with Tannenbergbund. A little later, in December 1928, parts of the Front Line Union transferred to the (BHS) Bavarian Internal Security Service. Other parts of the Bund switched to the Stahlhelm-Bund in March 1931. The rest of the German Front Military Union was incorporated into Bavarian National Security in 1931 and disbanded.
