The creation of women's groups in the Kyffhauserbund was regulated by § 2 of the charter of the Prussian Union of Warriors. The tasks of women's groups, in addition to the main goals of the association, were cooperation in the field of youth care, economic institutions and, above all, social security. In social welfare, women cared for war victims, veterans, small and social pensioners.
The sign was created in 1927 by the Prussian Landskrieger Union. The sign was issued in 2 versions, silver and gilded, respectively. The silver badge was a membership badge and could be issued to all members at their own expense. Gold badge - an award awarded for special services in social activities. The condition for this was at least 5 years of membership in the union of warriors and a statement from the association. The award was approved by the appropriate provincial or district council. The gold badge was awarded with a diploma. The signs were obtained exclusively from the Berlin publishing house Kyffhauser-Verlag. Badges were made as brooches or chains. The cost of the silver-plated badge was 1.60 Reichsmarks in the form of a brooch. A real silver chain pendant with a chain cost 2.75 Reichsmarks. For the gold sign, an analogue of 2.85 Reichsmarks in the form of a brooch, 3.95 in the form of a chain with a pendant. Due to paid purchases and the number of girl groups, the badge is relatively rare.
