German Awards - Ehrhardt Marine Brigade Sleeve Insignia
The Marine Brigade "Ehrhardt" was formed on 17 February 1919 by Corvette Captain Ehrhardt. It consisted mainly of former marines. The core was composed of naval officers and cadets, who made up the so-called assault company. The Ehrhardt Marine Brigade opposed in various cities from Braunschweig to Munich and Upper Silesia. In the Kappovsky putsch of 1920, Freikorps occupied Berlin. After the coup, the Marine brigade, used as a Reichswehr order force, remained in Berlin.
On April 20, 1920, the Ehrhardt Marine Brigade was officially disbanded.
Oval, hollow embossed non-ferrous metal sign. On each quarter of the edge there is a small opening for sewing to the sleeve.
Front side:
- The rim forms a ring in the form of a sailor cork or rope.
In - the upper half, on billowing waves, a mothership floating to the left with a sail and pennants on the mast.
- Under the waves is a transverse shield with the old inscription: - Wilhelmshaven -
- Under the shield to the edge 2 tied oak deciduous branches with 2 acorns.
