German awards - Honorary badge of the fire department for 25 years of the existence of the People's State of Hesse in 1923
On November 14, 1922, the Hesse Ministry of the Interior decided to award honorary badges for conscientious performance of official duties and for the length of service of 25 and 40 years of service in fire departments. The award for 25 years continued to be presented as a buckle with a modified appearance. The middle coat of arms was changed to the coat of arms of the People's State with a people's crown. The design of the right and left sides has also been changed. The number - 25 - appears only on the left and is additionally supplemented with the font at the bottom and right.
She continued to be awarded after a faithful and unquestioning 25 years of service in a volunteer fire department.
Gold-plated bronze buckle with raised smooth edges. Applied to a metal plate covered with an order ribbon. The corners are rounded. In the upper part of the rectangle there are 2 crossed and connected axes. A fire helmet rests on the stems of the ax. At the back is a horizontal pin.
Front side:
- Central on the inside is the coat of arms of the people's state with a 5-petal people's crown.
- To the left and right of it are rounded fine-grained fields with the inscription:.

Downside:
- The order ribbon is sewn up behind. In a horizontal position - a pin.
