Awards of Germany - Honorary sign of the fire department for 40 years of the existence of the People's State of Hesse in 1923

On November 14, 1922, the Hesse Ministry of the Interior decided to award honorary badges for conscientious performance of official duties and for the length of service of 25 and 40 years of service in fire departments. The award for 25 years continued to be presented as a buckle with a modified appearance. The badge of honor for 40 years has been recreated and now has the shape of a medal. She continued to be awarded after a faithful and unquestioning 40 years of service in the fire department.
Medals were made of Argentan or silver-plated non-ferrous metal.
