German Awards - Deutsches-Feld Badge of Honour
Unofficial state award. This badge had to be received and paid for by the carrier itself.
Published by the German Society of Field Honorary Marks. After the presentation of military documents, the sign could be requested in various warrior unions. A prerequisite for acquisition was active participation in hostilities. More details are unknown to me. Miniatures on pins carrying only a soldier's head in the center were also made from this sign.
An eight-stage oval plug-in cross with a cross strung and riveted behind with a medallion and crossed swords.
Front side:
- laid white enameled cross, in the center laid medallion, surrounded by a mother-of-pearl ring
- the mother-of-pearl ring is interrupted by cross sleeves, 2 swords are crossed through the center under the cross
- on a medallion a soldier marching to the left with a steel helmet and hiking luggage
Downside:
- vertical pin punched in the middle between 2 rivets - GES.GES. -
- 3 line inscription - Deutsch - Feld-Ehrenzeichen - Hamburg 11 -
