This commemorative medal was instituted in December 1817 by Prince Regent George of Hanover on behalf of his father, King George III. donated by Great Britain and Hanover. All soldiers of the country who participated in the victorious Battle of Waterloo (Belle Alliance) on June 18, 1815 were awarded. Participants in the battle of Katr Bras on June 16 were also borrowed. 1815 Medals are worn in the fields by the embossed name and surname, rank and military unit of the awarded. In 1862, another 100 medals were minted for lost works. They do not support a die cutter under the neck. Medals without clogged carriers are also known. Stempelschneider - W. Wyon from London.
