Awards of Germany - Order of Landwehr 2nd class 1913
Like most German states, Hesse, by order of the Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig of July 30, 1913, introduced a new form of service awards for non-commissioned officers and service awards of the 2nd class Landwehr. Service awards in the form of a buckle, awarded from 1871 to 1913, were replaced by new ones in medal form.
A round copper medal with a rim, a soldered eye with a ribbon ring on top.
Front side:
in the - center is a large crown, at the top and bottom in a semicircle inscription:
