Awards of Germany - Order of Landwehr 2nd class 1891
With the assumption of office of King William II. In 1891, the still existing Landwehr service awards of the 1st and 2nd degree were established. Class changed. The Gothic letter - K - was replaced by the letter - W -. The form and design of official awards remained the same. The service award of the 2nd class, as before, was awarded to non-commissioned officers and soldiers for the long and faithful performance of official duties during the vacation period and the unquestioning performance of official duties during the statutory period of service.
Rectangular, cut-through gold-plated metal buckle. On the back is a metal strip, over which an order ribbon is stretched. Behind the pin.
Front side:
- Openwork, rectangular, gilded frame.
In the - center, the letter - W - is occupied by the crown from above.
- Under it is an order ribbon, tin-red with 2 sky-blue side stripes.
- The latter is stretched over a metal plate mounted behind the frame.
Downside:
- The tape stretched over the back metal plate is sewn up. Horizontal pin.
