Awards of Germany - Order of Landwehr 2nd Class, Buckle 1879
Together with the Landver service, the 1st class award was established on April 14, 1879 by King Charles. At the same time, the provisions on awarding in force in Prussia were adopted. The award was presented to non-commissioned officers and soldiers for the long and faithful performance of official duties during the vacation period and the unquestioning performance of official duties during the statutory period of service.
Rectangular gold plated metal buckle. Behind the pin.
Front side:
- Openwork, rectangular, gilded frame.
In the - center, the letter - K - is occupied by the crown from above.
- Under it is an order ribbon, tin-red with 2 sky-blue side stripes.
- The latter is stretched over a metal plate mounted behind the frame.
Downside:
- The tape stretched over the back metal plate is sewn up. Horizontal pin.
