This cross was established by King Louis III. It was created in order to help compatriots who earned money in their homeland during the war and achieved success in volunteering for the benefit of the country and the army.
This cross was released in large numbers. Silver specimens are least common (about 250 pieces) They were spent only on the royal cabinet, ministries and senior figures. The remaining crosses of about 90,000 were made of bronze, iron or zinc. Those crosses are blackened. The design belongs to Bernhard Bleecker, and the brand belongs to Alois Bursch.
An elongated cross made of silver, bronze, iron or zinc. The cruciform shoulders are smooth and slightly convex at the ends. Front and back sides with oval central screen. At the top there is a transversely located wide eye with a ribbon ring.
