German Awards - 1892 Golden Wedding Jubilee Medal
The medal was established on October 8, 1892 by the Grand Duke Karl Alexander. The reason was a golden wedding with his wife Sofia. The medal was issued in 4 stages: gold, silver gilded, silver and bronze. This medal was received by those present at the festival in Weimar. Gold medals received exclusively principalities (25 pieces). The remaining degrees were awarded in accordance with the rank of the following guests, court staff, officials, commanders and non-commissioned officers, as well as servants. The medals were made at the Berlin Mint by Ostermann. (formerly Loos)
Round medal with silver frames. Above is a soldered ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
Front side:
- Centered behind each other are left-facing portraits of a golden wedding couple.
- In the foreground is Grand Duke Charles Alexander, followed by his wife Sophia.
- At the bottom is a small edge - W. UHLMANN SC. G. LOOS D. -.
Downside:
In the - center are intertwined letters - C A S - initials:
- Carl Alexander and Sophie, Das - S - cross-hatched. Above it is a crown.
- On the left and right are framed by 2 branches of myrtle crossed from below with fruits.
- The branches are wrapped from below in a winding ribbon in the 3 part.
- It has an in-depth font: at the top left - 1842 -, at the bottom in the center - 8. OCTOBER - top right - 1892 -.
- Down the edge is small and recessed - LOOS -.

25 mm wide, black edges 3 mm, then yellow/green side stripes 2 mm/4 mm, central stripes yellow 5 mm.
