This commemorative sign was donated on the occasion of the second wedding with Eleanor Princess in Solms-Hohensolms-Lich on February 18, 1905 by Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig. The first marriage was dissolved in 1901 due to a broken relationship. The badge of honor was awarded to all wedding guests and officers and court servants present at the service. The author of the project is Professor Habich from Darmstadt.
Elongated silver badge of honor in the form of a rhombus with rounded corners. The edge of the front side is formed from elevated decorations that flow from above into the Hessian crown. The back is smooth and has a circular depression in the center. 2 chain links are hooked into the crown from above, then a ribbon ring expanding upward.
