The medal was established on July 4, 1913 by Kaiser Wilhelm II on the 100th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry Regiment No. 82 30 November 1913. 4 different medals were presented with the same front and different backs for the respective troops. The medals were struck in Berlin by Otto Ertel. This medal with an inscription on the back - November 30, 1813-1913 - was received by all the ancient Kursk soldiers of the regiment who participated in the celebrations or through no fault of their own. The 2nd Kurgessen Infantry Regiment No. 82 was formed from the 2nd, formed in 1866. The infantry regiment of Landgrave Wilhelm was formed and supplemented by 12 companies. During the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, the regiment fought at Wörth, Sedan and Paris. During World War I, the regiment was first stationed in Belgium and then with the XI. Army Corps in East Prussia. In 1917, the regiment was deployed to France and fought at Verdun and Reims. About 170 awards are known. Therefore, it is very rare and also expensive.
