This commemorative medal was donated by the Grand Duke Frederick I in 20.09.1906. All military personnel, officers and soldiers who served on entry in 1856 had the right to admission. The wedding took place in the royal palace in Berlin. The spaler at the wedding ceremony was the officer corps of Berlin, Potsdam, Spandau and Charlottenburg. As well as the entire retinue of the principalities present at the golden wedding. Members of military deputations, commanded on September 20, 1906, as well as representatives of foreign powers and persons separately appointed by the Grand Duke. The celebration of the golden wedding took place in Karlsruhe. The stamps for the medal were made by Rudolf Mayer of Pforzheim. He also made medals. About 300 medals were awarded.
Round medal made of gilded bronze without a raised edge. On top is a wide ironing eye for pulling the tape.
