This badge of honor was established by the decision of the board of the Prussian Red Cross on October 30, 1930. The Prussian Red Cross Merit Cross was established in 2nd grade. Shown here is 1. The class was awarded for outstanding services in the Prussian Red Cross and around it, as well as the Domestic Women's Union of the Red Cross. In addition, after 40 years of meritorious work, sisters could be awarded as a sister or sister's assistant in the Red Cross or recognized for distinguished service in nursing. Possible rewards were severely limited by the land board. This did not affect awards for years of service. Especially grade 1 was awarded extremely rarely. In 1933, 5 only 1 awards. For a very short rental period until 1934, a total of 10 to 15 1st class awards are expected. The awarding of all honorary signs of land associations ended in 1934 with the creation of a single honorary sign of the German Red Cross.
