- Material: fine silver-plated zinc
- Size: 28.35mm
- Weight: 11.03g
This badge of honor was established on April 26, 1934 by the Provincial Fire Union of Hanover. A change in the badge of honor was deemed necessary after the National Socialists came to power in 1933. It was awarded for merits in extinguishing a fire to members of the fire association. It is also possible to appoint a 25-year member during this period. The manufacturers of the badge of honor were Lehmann and Wünnenberg from Hanover, who also made the former badges of honor. Silver migration is normal for pieces of zinc and a sign of originality. Parts without this feature are silver plated or reproductions or forgeries. Due to the very short awarding period, these medals are extremely rare.
Round medal made of silver-plated fine zinc with a raised border. On top is a soldered, ordinary eye with a ribbon ring.
