The badge of honor depicted here for 25 years of work on the board of the federal association in the Bavarian Union of Warriors was established on Deputies Day in 1916. Board members who were cashiers, clerks, or 1 were awarded. Ensign 25 years engaged in this activity. In addition to the cross, other honorifics, partially enameled in high quality, were donated over a period of 25 years. For merits in the Union of Warriors and around it, 2 classes were established. The 2nd grade is silver-plated, and the 1st grade is gilded and enameled with the inscription "FOR MERIT" or "FOR MERIT U.D...." There is also an enameled badge of honor for 25 years in the Bavarian Military League, which was awarded, perhaps, only elders or senior members. The manufacturer of the badges of honor for the Bavarian Union of Warriors was Deschler & Sohn in Munich, which since its inception has supplied both membership badges and badges of honor in various forms. Recognition of long-term membership was initially marked by jubilee rings on the ribbon of a member's badge for 50, 40 or 25 years. On the 3rd form of the membership mark, the number 40 or 25 was integrated above the shield. As of 1926, the badges of honor for 40 years are not known or instead the mentioned 1st class was awarded. The Bavarian Warrior Union was founded in 1874 shortly after the 1870/71 war. The first membership marks are dated 1886. They still took the form of an eight-pointed, gilded and blue-white enamelled cross with gold rays between the cross sleeves. Second and third. The uniform was in the shape of a shield with long ribbons below.
