The Union of Bavarian front-line soldiers in the Union of German Warriors in 1914-1918 established this cross of memory of the war for its members in 1921. The Union of Bavarian front-line soldiers was a separate association and is not equal to the Association of Bavarian field comrades, which, if necessary, issued a cross in memory of the war.
Like many other military and veteran unions, this union wanted to establish a badge of honor as a sign of respect and respectful memory of wartime for members of the union. It can be assumed that the cross should have been presented to the board. As a rule, it was required to provide evidence of front-line use. Either through a military passport, a soldier's book, or certified letters from the relevant chiefs. As a rule, a member had to pay for such crosses. I do not know any other information about this federation. However, the award should be less than on the commemorative crosses of the Union of Bavarian Field Comrades. I would appreciate further information.
Elongated cross with slightly expanded ends of the cross. The front side is enameled with a round medallion worn in the center. On the upper cross sleeve, soldered in the corners and center, 2 crossed, silver swords. They are clamped in the middle, and the eyelet is soldered to the ring of the tape. Reverse without enamel with enlarged inscription. Swords are smooth at the back.
