The Baden Land Union of the Red Cross established around 1920 for loyal, long-term and honored employees an honorary badge in 3 stages, for 10, 25 and 40 years. The badge of honor presented here was awarded for 40 years of well-deserved activity. The 1st tier for 10 years was a cross of darkened bronze without enameled cross-shaped sleeves. The 2nd tier for 25 years was a silver-plated cross with white enameled cross sleeves. Since the crosses do not depict the dates of the year, it can be assumed that these honorary signs also marked special and outstanding services. Until now, the only manufacturer is Houriet and Wanner from Pforzheim. There are also crosses without a manufacturer on the back. These crosses were presented by loyal and worthy members by various national Red Cross clubs. Crosses of different national clubs differ in the inscription in the medallion ring. The shape is usually the same. At the Baden crosses below, the stems of the wreath are not crossed. The latter is tied from below, and tape ends rest on lower cruciform lever.
Gilded plaster cross in bronze with figured cross sleeves. Crosses with gold edges are enameled in white. In the center is a round enameled medallion. The back side is smooth and gilded with a horizontal pin with a mating hook. On the bottom traverse, the manufacturer deepens.
