German Awards - Baden Red Cross Land Union Badge of Honour for 10 years

These crosses were presented by loyal and worthy members by various national Red Cross clubs. Crosses of different national clubs differ in the inscription in the medallion ring. The shape is usually the same. This cross was awarded for merits in the land association of the Red Cross and faithful 10 years of service.
The Baden Land Association established the badge of honor in 3 stages. 1st level - a bronze cross awarded after 10 years of fruitful cooperation. The 2nd tier was a silver-plated cross with white cross sleeves and was awarded after 25 years of service. The 3rd stage is a gilded cross with white cross sleeves and was granted after 40 years. The manufacturer of the award was Houriet and Wanner from Pforzheim.

Brass or silver plated bronze cross with figured cruciform sleeves. Crosses with raised smooth edges. The inner sides are finely indented. In the center is a round enameled medallion. Rear side with vertical pin and manufacturer designation.

Front side:

• White enameled central shield with red Geneva cross.
• This is surrounded by a black enameled ring with gold script:
• - BADEN - RED - CROSS - three 5-ray stars below.
• Resting on cruciform arms, a two-part silver-plated laurel wreath is tied at the bottom.
• The tape ends reach the lower cruciform shoulder.

Downside:

• Smooth and bronze with 2-line manufacturer's designation - H - & - W -/- PFORZHEIM -
• Vertical pin.
