The Carola Medal was established on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Alberta Association on September 17, 1892 by King Albert. The patron and founder was Queen Carola. Initially, this medal was awarded for merits in the training of voluntary nurses in war, and then in peacetime.
Initially, this award was awarded for services in the Alberta Association, later also for services in the field of useful charity. Depending on the size of earnings, the medal was awarded in gold, silver or bronze. Eligibility was granted to both men and women or virgins. The Stämpelschneider was Max Bardulek in Dresden. There are also smaller medals (20 mm), on the back of which there is only the inscription: - ALBERT - VEREIN - IN - SACHSEN - 1867-1892 -. They refer to the first coinage with the designation - crown princess - on the front side. The first option was awarded to members of the Alberta Native Service Association.
The medal still included men's braces and women's oak leaf braces. This is with annual figures - 1914/16 -. 1077 medals were minted in silver.
