The Albert Association has established several honorary badges during its existence. Among them are the Crown Princess Carola medal in gold and silver, donated back in 1871, the Carola code, as well as the Carola medals in gold, silver and bronze, donated in 1892. The order of Carola shown here was probably donated later. The exact information about the fund or its charters is unknown. Awarded in 3 classes. The 1st grade was a golden, blue enameled knotted cross with a green enameled oak-leafy wreath between the cross sleeves. 2nd class was worn on a ribbon in the same design with an oak wreath. Shown here 3. Klasse - a cross of the same shape, but without a green enameled oak wreath between the cross sleeves. The order was probably awarded for services to society and in society. A reward for certain years of club service is also possible, but rather unlikely because these crosses are relatively rare.
The Albert Association was founded on 14 September 1867 by Crown Princess Carola of Saxony, who was also chairman and protector until her death. It was the international women's association of the Red Cross. The motto of the association was "In omnibus caritas" ("Charity in everything"). The Albert Association, named after her husband, the future King Albert, cared for voluntary nursing in the Kingdom of Saxony and nurse training. The sisters called themselves Albertines. In 1917, there were about 12,000 Albertines. The club has been growing for years. 2 years after its founding, there were already 15 industry clubs. The largest number of affiliate clubs is 63. The number of members in 1917 was 10,759 (8 branch clubs without members).
The rarity of the badges of honor of all classes of this order suggests that it was awarded only for special or outstanding services to the Union. With the unification of the Red Cross clubs in 1934, the award was also to end.
