The Lipp Union of Warriors as the Union of Warriors of the country was founded in 1879. Already after the war of 1870/71, warrior and landwehr clubs were founded in Lippe. The goals of these clubs were:... to bring up love and loyalty to the Fatherland in its members, as well as to keep the memory of military and soldier time in the spirit of comradely loyalty and national identity, to organize celebrations in memory of the Fatherland, to render the last military honor to the dead members and to support the members of the Union or the families of the dead veterans in need of help. In April 1974 he joined the Union of German Warriors. In 1899, Lippische Kriegerbund became a member of the Kyffhauserbund - the imperial umbrella organization of land military unions. Meetings of deputies of the Union of Warriors were held until 1928. In 1892, Prince Voldemar issued a decree according to which the organization of the Union of Warriors becomes conservative and opposes the strengthened social democracy. Before World War I, the union had about 10.500 members, that is, about 1/3 voters who were obliged by their membership not to vote for the Social Democrats. In 1898, the prince became honorary chairman of the Lipp Union of Warriors. Since 1913, the Union of Warriors received permission to call itself the "Princely Lippe Union of Warriors." In 1934, the club was equated with the National Socialists.
