German Awards - Military Badge in Bronze
The military insignia was established in June 1916 in addition to the previously established badge of honor "For Concern for the War." Persons were awarded for merits insufficient for awarding the General Badge of Honor for courage or military merit or for awarding the Military Sanitary Cross. Already awarded honorary badges for military content could be exchanged by military personnel. During manufacture, it was polished and replaced with a stamped inscription of medals for military affairs. Since May 1918, medals began to be made of bronze military metal due to a lack of materials.
