This military commemorative coin was presented by King William I on January 1, 1840. All officers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and military officials who participated in the service of Württemberg in one or more campaigns were awarded. The prerequisite for this was entry into the theater of operations or crossing the enemy's border. When awarding, the following campaigns and war years were taken into account, respectively: 1793, 1794, 1795, 1796, 1799, 1800, 1805, 1806, 1807, 1809, 1812, 1813 (Saxony), 1813/14 (France) and 1815. Military commemorative coins carry on the reverse the corresponding number of campaigns in which the Belian took part. So theoretically, medals with participation in 14 campaigns would be possible. Up to 11 hikes per person are occupied. Rarity and prices are determined by the number of hikes. The stamps for the medals were designed by Gottlob August Ditelbach, who worked at the Stuttgart Mint, where these medals were minted. Later, medals began to be made with new stamps. They are distinguished by a different pattern of laurel wreath. The first embossing on the left and right shows 15 groups of leaves without fruits. The new medals have only 10 leaf groups on each side with fruit. On the lower cross-tied ribbons, the letters - A D. are printed in depth. The crown, like the letter - W - is larger. Source: J.
