This military commemorative coin was officially introduced or donated after the end of the 1866 war against Prussia. On the front, you can now see the monogram - K - Karl under the royal crown. The necessary new front side stamps were made by Gottlieb August Ditelbach. In 1867, military commemorative coins were granted for faithful service in one and two campaigns, respectively. The predecessors of this military commemorative coin had the train -W- for Wilhelm as their name. The 1840 military commemorative coin has awards up to 14 campaigns. This refers to the period from 1798 to 1815. Only one medal from 11 military campaigns. The right to receive was granted to all officers, non-commissioned officers and ordinary soldiers, as well as military officials who were in the theater of operations or crossed the enemy's border. The award of the 1866 military commemorative coin took place on March 7, 1867 at the parade on the occasion of the birthday of King Charles. Source: J.
