For the first time, service awards were presented by King Anton and co-ruler Frederick Augustus II. Established for 24 and 15 years of faithful and groundless service of non-commissioned officers and soldiers on December 24, 1831. Medals for 24 years were silver, and for 15 years - bronze. The stamp for the first type until 1868 was cut by Karl Reinhard Kruger, an engraver at the Royal Saxon Mint in Dresden. In 1868, new stamps were made by Max Bardulek. This 2nd stamp shown here differs in some details from the 1st Kruger stamp. Distinctive features, among other things, are the bay leaf under the foot on the right -A (front side). On the back, the dots in the leaves of the rhomboid corolla have recesses. Since 1868, service awards have become 3-classic, to them was added a gold medal, which was now awarded for 21 years of service. The silver medal was awarded to the 2nd class and from 15 years of service. 3rd grade as a bronze medal was awarded from the age of 9. The bronze medal of the 1st form (2nd version) since 1868 was minted in the amount of about 1900 pieces. There are various options in bronze, light bronze and copper, respectively.
