The Cross of Merit of the Partnership of Warriors was established in the early 20s. I know nothing about the exact basis. Since the obverse already depicts the coat of arms of the People's State with the people's crown, the foundation is likely around 1922. Like many other alliances of warring countries, the brotherhood of Hassia warriors established awards for honored members. The cross and medal are well known. Both with the inscription at the back: - For merits in the union of soldiers -. The medal will be the second. The class is awarded or is an earlier award, unknown to me. Thanks for the tips and additions.
The military partnership of Hassia (Hesse) was founded in 1874. It became the Union of Land Warriors of the Grand Duchy of Hesse and the Hessian Lands. Soon local clubs of warriors, singing and military musicians joined her. The association had its own youth organization, Youth of Hassia. The bureau publishes an annual "Hassia" calendar. It was produced until the 1930s. The Brotherhood of Warriors, like other warrior unions, joined the Kiefhauser union, but retained a certain independence.
