Comrade Hassia instituted this merit medal. Like many other alliances of warring countries, the brotherhood of Hassia warriors established awards for honored members. The medal and cross of merit shown here are known. Both with the inscription at the back: - For merits in the union of soldiers -. The medal will be the second. I don't know the class. Presumably, the cross was added as a new form or supplemented by 1st class in the 20s. Thanks for the tips and additions.
The military partnership of Hassia (Hesse) was founded in 1874. It became the Union of Land Warriors of the Grand Duchy of Hesse and the Hessian Lands. Soon local clubs of warriors, singing and military musicians joined her. The association had its own youth organization, Youth of Hassia. The bureau publishes an annual "Hassia" calendar. It was produced until the 1930s. The Brotherhood of Warriors, like other warrior unions, joined the Kiefhauser union, but retained a certain independence.
Round medal made of silver-plated bronze with a raised border. There is a small ironing spout on top. An elongated ribbon ring passes through them, consisting of 2 segments expanding upward on the front side.
