The honorary cross of the fire department Landesverein Badens was established on September 3, 1927. Other sources attribute the fund to December 7, 1925. The cross was awarded to firefighters after 50 years of uninterrupted innocent service. Applicants previously had to hold the state award for 40 years. Another award opportunity was the Distinguished Fire Service Award for firefighters and the Distinguished Fire Service Award for non-firefighters. The award of firefighters for 50 years can be recognized by the yellow-violet-yellow ribbon. All other awards for outstanding services were held on a yellow-blue-yellow ribbon. The badge of honor was awarded very rarely due to the short term of the award and the high requirements for the award and is very expensive.
Eight-pointed cross made of gilded bronze. The cruciform arms are maroon golden and enameled white. Front and rear with a round middle shield worn. Between the cross sleeves at a distance is a wreath of laurel leaves.
On the upper cruciform shoulder there is a wide ironing eye through which the tape is stretched.
