The honorary cross of the fire department for the district fire association Palatinate-Bavaria was established around 1926 by the district association. The cross is probably the highest award of the Kreisverband association and has been awarded for outstanding service in firefighting. I do not know anything about the fund and the requirements for awarding. A little later in 1927, published in the Zeitung für Geschöhlschesen newspaper on February 1, 1927, an honorary cross was also presented for 50 years of service. It could be obtained for special merits in the fire business. On the front of the coin is the number 50. The third award of the district fire union was an honorary badge made in bronze. All district association awards are very rare. Exact award figures are not known. During the unification of the National Socialists, the award was discontinued in 1936.
