German Awards - Commemorative signs for the anniversary of the founding of the 1st and 7th. Bavarian Field Artillery Regiment
The memorial sign presented here was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of his birth. The founding holiday of the 1st Field Artillery Regiment and the 24th founding holiday of the 7th Field Artillery Regiment, created by the traditional union and issued for celebration. It was probably received by former members of the regiments. Both regiments bore the name - Prince Regent Luitpold. The 1st Field Artillery Regiment was formed on October 11, 1824. Since October 1900, the regiment formed the 1st field artillery brigade with the 7th field artillery regiment, Munich was the place of deployment in peacetime. In World War I, the regiments were part of the 1st Infantry Division under the 6th Army, which fought mainly on the Western Front. After the World War, the regiments were demobilized in December 1918 and finally disbanded. High oval sign in bronze copper alloy. The reverse is smooth with a flattened vertical pin with a mating hook.
Front side:
- On top of the edge is a large 5-arched royal crown.
- At the level of the lower quarter is a lying cannon tube extending beyond the edge.
- On the left and right above the tube is a laurel wreath crosswise tied below.
In - the lower part it forms a raised edge.
- Between the cannon pipe and the laurel wreath increased year - 1924 -.
- The cannon barrel features a stylized Bavarian lion facing right.
In - the upper part of the date of foundation of the regiments. It remains - 11. - X. - 1824 - right - 1. - X. - 1900 -.
- Between the crown and the lion in the middle is the cipher of the prince regent.

- Smooth and bronze.
- Vertically thin pin with a reciprocal hook.
