The Württemberg Red Cross Land Union Merit Cross was established on 22 March 1922 for meritorious activity in medical columns. Crosses were awarded in 3 stages over 40 years, 25 years and 10 years of activity.
Crosses for ages 40 and 25 have white enameled cruciform arms. Crosses for 40 years are also gilded with a surrounding laurel wreath between the cross sleeves. On crosses for 25 years, the boarding of cross sleeves and a laurel wreath has been silver-plated. The cross depicted here for 10 years of well-deserved activity is silver-plated without enameled cross sleeves. The superimposed round medallions on the obverse are the same in all crosses. The makers of the crosses were Mayer and Wilhelm of Stuttgart.
Silver plated white metal cross. Crosspiece ends are bent outward. The inner sides of the cruciform levers are smooth and silver-plated. At a short distance, a raised rounded border. Between the cross sleeves at a short distance is a silver laurel wreath. Front side with enameled round middle shield worn. At the back is a vertical pin.
