Awards Germany - Sleeve insignia officers Freikorps Freikorps Freischüferskorps Meyn Berlin
The sleeve insignia depicted here was worn by officers of Freikorps Freikorps Freischützerkorps Meyn Berlin. The volunteer corps was formed at the end of 1918 and was supposed to ensure order in the city. Berlin City Commandant Wels lobbied for the creation. The volunteer corps was republican-minded and very militarily disciplined. The team's sleeve insignia was oval with a Berlin bear wearing an oak wreath and stone crown. The compound reached over 800 people. After the dissolution, the Volunteer Corps became the core of the Berlin Security Police. In March 1920, the Volunteer Corps participated in the suppression of the Kappovsky putsch. On April 15, 1920, the Central Office for Defending Residents was established at the Ministry of the Interior in Berlin. Also invading Berlin, the Freikor Guards Cavalry Rifle Corps under Captain Pabst, with an approximate strength of 40,000 men, was classified as a danger to the government and disbanded in March 1919. Whether the corps of free shooters joined Maine is unknown. On 24 June 1921 the Freikorps were disbanded, including Freikorps Aulock, Heydebreck, Rossbach and Oberland. Membership was banned. The following year, July 21, 1922, the following associations were also banned: "Deutschvölkische Turner und Stätzt," "Deutschvölkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund," "Jungdeutscher Orden," "Bund der Ewerten," "Verband der Verband der Soldaten," "Steel Helmet", "Bund der Nieddeitschen," "Soyuz Oberdeutsches," "Soyuz Berland," "Proletarisse," "Soyuz lesse" Soyuz deutschen, "" Soyuz en "Soyuz en" and others Hundersht, the Imperial Committee of German Production Councils and the Viking Union.
