The National Socialist Women's Society was formed during the unification on October 1, 1931 from the German Women's Order (also called the Red Swastika) and other National Socialist women's groups. The symbolism in the sign, already used by the German Women's Order, was accepted. Thus, the letters at the break - G - H - L - mean faith, hope and love. The organization was designed for all women aged 21 and over. The main task of the Nazi women's movement was "educating politically and worldview reliable female leaders" (Orgbuch, p. 267). On March 29, 1935, the Nazi women's movement received the status of a unit of the NSDAP. Since 1934, the Reichsführer was Gertrude Scholz-Klink. The structure of the organization corresponded to the structure of the NSDAP. Thus, local groups, circle groups, gaue were formed and led by the imperial leadership. There were 40 Gaue and about 800 county wives. Local women are listed at 28,000. While simple members had membership badges without colored margins, badges for women in various sticks were provided with colored edges. The blue-edged badge shown here is a sign for female employees on the staff of local groups. For female staff officers at the county level, the region was black, at the Gauja level the region was red, and at the Reichsleiff level the region was yellow. For the head of the female class, there were other badges at different levels with the Algiz rune and the imperial eagle above it. Colored edging on the level and outside an oak wreath. Icons with colored edges are rare, especially at the highest levels of organization. On October 10, 1945, the Nazi women's movement was banned. Women leaders, starting at the district level, are placed under arrest and subject to denazification. Source: NS-Doku München, online Lexicon., Wikipedia
