The William Cross was established in 2 classes for merit in the war. 2nd class on ribbon and 1st class in the form of a pin cross with swords and a crown. The military was awarded a cross with swords 2 passing through the center. To be awarded with a cross, it was necessary to get the 2nd grade. In total, just over 100 copies were issued.
2nd class was awarded without swords unless merit was directly related to the war. At the same time, there is no inscription on the medallion of the reverse side - Military merit.
Dark oxidized bronze cross. Smooth-edged crosses rounded at the ends. The inner sides are finely indented. In the center is a round medallion (22 mm). A royal crown is attached to the upper cross. Through the middle are crossed 2 swords.
